Really the icing on the cake! Bought a r2r 11 dac a while back at magna hifi and now expanded with the DI-20. The di-20 has been in my audio set for a few days now. Definitely an improvement, sound has improved overall. it now sounds as it should! And thank you Magna Hifi for the advice and the very smooth service.

Echt de kers op de taart! Tijdje terug een r2r 11 dac gekocht bij magna hifi en nu uitgebreid met de DI-20. De di-20 staat nu een aantal dagen in m'n audio set. Absoluut een verbetering, geluid is er overall sterk op vooruit gegaan. 't klinkt nu zoals het hoort! En dank u wel Magna Hifi voor het advies en de erg vlotte service.

I think the amp sounds absolutely fantastic. Completely different from my old amplifier with icepower class d modules.

But o´boy does the May sound glorious! So natural, realistic and effortless. It really let’s you connect deeply with the music. I had the Chord DAVE with M Scaler home last week. The May wins and not with a small margin. May is hands down the best DAC I ever experienced.

The DI-20 is a very good interface for use with Audio-gd DACs. It runs cool to the touch, it is silent. It offers high rate data via ACSS and I2S (native Audio-gd format of course) and supports DSD as well as PCM.

It shares the same display and case color and height with other Audio-gd devices so it makes a handsome and harmonious match to your system.

The AES/EBU output does not work with one of my TASCAM devices but it does with another. For the price and if you don't depend on AES/EBU (which will probably work with your device but may not) and you have an Audio-gd DAC then this is definitely worth buying. The HE is said to have even better sound quality but it does get hot which I did not want. So this unit at the price could be a very worthy compromise.

Jos is very responsive and friendly, and keeps you informed during the buying process. I recommend Magna Hifi as a top source of Audio-gd gear in Europe.

Support from Kingwa at Audio-gd is very good. Great gear, great people, what else can we ask for? :)

Only point that could be even better is the S/N ratio.
But it's much better than I ever got it.

Cold out of the box (RCA in and out, basic power cable) I am extremely pleased of what I am hearing: tonal accuracy, lower noise floor, taller and deeper soundstage, more articulate bass.
And still there is wide room for improvements: longer burn in, use of usb input and acss output, quality power cable, a good external master clock may be.…
A big jump closer to the best analogue reproduction!

In all my listening the main benefits of the DI20HE became very clear: detail, coherence, wide and deep stereo image. It is also definitely an upgrade in terms of noise and background (black). Fantastic three-dimensional soundstage. This upgrade is significant for my USB source! Many thanks!

The R7HE MK2 is the 4th R2R Audio GD DAC I've owned and the best by a large margin. The MK2 DAC really shines brilliantly when connected with a low phase noise 10Mhz external clock. All inputs sound better than previous generations of Audio GD DACs. The MK2 is a clear winner and has taken my audio system to the next level like no other component. Be warned the MK2 takes many hours of burn-in to sound its very best. At least 1,000 hrs. You will be handsomely rewarded for your patience.
