MA Player
MA player is a high-quality digital audio/streaming audio playback control system which is independently developed by 「Matrix Audio」 for its music streamers. With MA player, users can control audio devices in the network through mobile devices such as smart phones and tablets, browse and play music from network drives or USB storage devices. In addition, MA player has integrated streaming technologies such as Roon Ready(Under certification test ), DLNA/UPnP, AirPlay 2, Spotify Connect and TIDAL Connect, allowing you to experience high-resolution streaming audio on the local area network.
MA Remote App
MA Remote App is available for iPhone, iPad and Android phones. Through this app, you can browse and play music from your local music library, enjoy music from TIDAL, Qobuz and HIGHRESAUDIO, and listen to Internet radio from 「Matrix Audio」 devices. The configurations and firmware updates of the music streamer can also be done through the app.
USB DAC interface
The USB DAC interface is a digital audio interface that surpasses traditional ports such as optical and coaxial, it feeds high resolution PCM or DSD audio data to audio devices bit-perfectly. With this interface, DACs with USB input can be connected to element S, simply and quickly enable online and local streaming audio for your existing audio system. The USB DAC interface has a 5V/1A ultra-low noise power output. The power supply is processed by a multi-stage ultra-low noise linear regulator and a power filter circuit before feeding to the USB device, to ensure a better performance of the device.
USB Audio port
When a computer, smart phone or tablet is connected via USB Audio input, element S turns these devices into digital turntables. High quality digital audio signals will be sent to back end devices through this port. The digital audio output supports up to 32Bit/768kHz PCM and 1Bit/DSD512. HID is supported through USB Audio connection as well, which allows you to control the playback of the player software through the touch key on the device.
IIS-LVDS output
The IIS-LVDS output of element S supports up to 32Bit/768kHz PCM and 1Bit/DSD512 digital audio. In order to be compatible with more DACs, we provided 4 kinds of IIS-LVDS pin definition and 2 MCLK modes on this port, which can be configured through MA Remote App. Furthermore, the IIS-LVDS is applied electrical isolation design, the ground wire of the front and back end devices are separated, to avoid the noises to transport via the
S/PDIF outputs
element S has premium S/PDIF signal output abilities to work with various DACs. Through optical, coaxial and AES/EBU ports, it supports up to 24Bit/192kHz PCM audio output or 1Bit/DSD64 audio output in DoP method.
Dual-frequency femtosecond clock
element S is equipped with 2 ultra low phase noise femtosecond clocks from Accusilicon, which works for 44.1kHz and 48kHz and their multiples of sampling rate as reference clock source respectively. An
FPGA coordinates the clocks and manages the frequencies. To ensure high quality digital audio with low jitter and present more fantastic details of the music.
Gigabit Ethernet and Dual-band Wi-Fi
Both Ethernet and Wi-Fi connections are available for element S. Gigabit Ethernet guarantees the stability and speed of high-resolution audio transmission in the network. If you have good Wi-Fi coverage, 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi connections are good options as well. Get rid of the network cable, the embedded antenna makes element S look more simple and tidy.

Using the Matrix Audio Element S via USB out in a Singxer SU 2 and from there via I2S to a HoloAudio Spring 2. First of all: Compatibility is outstanding!
And regarding sound quality from my pov a dream team – highly recommended! The Singxer clarifies a bit, it is a subtle nuance in timing, but it improves maybe from 98% to 100%. I switched several times fore and back but at the end I decided in favour with the Singxer SU 2 („magnified“).
Interestingly, recordings with rain, sounds like rain with the Element S, with the Singxer my brain got immediately triggered „it‘s raining“.
Great recommendation and service from Magna!

Setting up the Element S was een easy task. I really like the Matrix App. I listen mostly to Qobuz streaming service. So far I am really happy with this streamer. The design is nice, the features are great and last but not least the sound is amazing! (Using I2S output to my Holo May DAC)
