I received my streamer on Tuesday. Although it's not burned in yet, it already sounds very promising. I'm excited to see where it goes from here.

I'm really impressed with the sound of the MAY DAC on my A-setup in my listening room (Luxmans + B&W 802 D3, digital source: Roon Core server Silent Angel Rhein Z1+ via usb) in its raw state (unplayed) . I was already excited with the sound of Spring 3 DAC on the same setup but the MAY DAC goes one level higher, amazing.... I'm looking forward to see where the sound will go after many hours of playing.

The R-8HE MK3 has arrived, and I’m very happy to say that the issue I previously mentioned with the Master 10 MK2 is now completely resolved. The sound is clear, transparent, and truly impressive. I honestly have no complaints – everything sounds just the way it should, and I’m genuinely enjoying it. The standard for the preamp I was looking for was very high. I had previously tried six units ranging from €3,500 to €12,500. Only the Audio-GD - HE1 MK3 provided the hoped-for match. It delivers everything I was looking for: a soundstage in all dimensions. A great openness of the soundstage. Micro-details as well as the inner cohesion of the music. Excellent timing. The low end where it belongs with perfect intensity. The highs without any nerves or harshness, yet crystal clear. And yes, the 250 hours of burn-in are necessary, but they lead to a very high level of satisfaction. And finally, the service from Jos and Rob is perfect. Thank you very much. Good advice and plenty of time to enjoy the music and the conversation. Thats why I apriciate the service of Magna Hifi. After a good listen to choose between HoloAudio - Spring 3 DAC Level 2 and Audio gd R8HE I decided to go for the Holo. To my taste the Holo gives a little more livelyness to the music, while not being too much "in your face". When connected to my equipment at home and a 100 hour burn in (to be sure) I was getting even more enthousiatic. Much more refined than my old R2R7. On very good recordings it can get intimidating that a complete choir or orchestra enters my small mancave. Only limitations are the neighbours because I live in an apartment. And last but not least, Jos helped me to find a HDMI audio extractor that I can use to play SACD directly though the Holo. We tried this years ago, but my Audio gd did not support dop. When the display showed the magical "dsd 64x" I knew that this was what I had been waiting for for 20 years! Some SACD's are actually not an improvement over CD. But there are some disks that bring back the best of analogue recordings on vinyl. But without any crack and pops. I also apriciate that the Holo does not run so hot as my old Audio gd did. And the option to switch PLL off and on can be usefull. Normally it is on when playing from my Mano. But playing SACD's from a universal Sony, PLL on makes the soudscape more balanced. The Holo Audio May KTE DAC + the Holo Audio Serene KTE Pre-Amp is for me the "end game", at least for now. Together with my Eversolo DMP A-8 as source and the Rotel RB-1590 Power Amp, the sound coming out of my Bowers & Wilkins Diamond 800 D3 loud speakers is pure music. The wide 3D-soundstage, the perfect imaging, the huge details as well as the "silence" and musicality make my B&W 800 D3 speakers shine. After 5 months of optimization the room with absorbers + diffusors and more important optimizing the speaker setup, I finally got a magic sound, no matter of music genre or resolution (from 44,1 to DSD256). So thank you so much for your recommendation of the Holo Audio Duo. They matched perfect in my system.

Several months ago I had bought the Cyan 2 and the Red. It was a "blind" purchase and I relied only on reviews. Strait out of the box the Cyan 2 sounded sharp and boomy, but I was patient, let it burn in for few days and I was rewarded! I have got big, balanced, open, detailed, layered and very natural sound. I also have PS Audio DirectStream DAC MK1. It was $6000 new... And in my ears the Cyan 2 is a better sounding DAC. It provides more details and textures and most importantly it sounds much more natural then the DirectStream. Unfortunately I've got not so pleasant experience with the Red but it is another story... Very happy with the Cyan 2. Highly recommend to those how use only 1 input or several SPDIF inputs.

I have been looking for a high-quality preamp without unnecessary features, the Holo Audio – SERENE Level 1 is an excellent choice. It focuses purely on sound, delivering exceptional transparency and detail. The price-to-quality ratio is outstanding, making it a strong contender in its class. A great bonus is the ability to listen to headphones directly, eliminating the need for a dedicated headphone amp.

I connected it to a Topping E30, which cost me only €120 and which, when connected to my SBooster, gave a good sound, but now connecting it to the Farad, it seems like it is a DAC of a much higher level, I even find it hard to believe what I am hearing. Sometimes I think it's all psychological, but I don't think so :). The sound is really good.

So the first 14 days are over.....what can I say, the spring3 kte is great. I have not found a reason to return the DAC yet. And I usually listen with cheers. Will try it with USB soon. At some point with the mano ultra via i2s. Thanks again for the great service.

This little heavy brick of a dac is a gemstone for music lovers. No matter if feeded with 16/44.1 PCM or SOX upsampled or Hqplayer DSD : the Cyan 2 plays far beyond its pricepoint. This device has a very extensive connectivity and possibilities and can be operated with an optional remote control. The downloadable app is user-friendly, the sound reproduction is spacious and accurate. Very satisfied with this purchase and advice from Rob.

Now I was finally able to send DSD 1024 over USB (via an NAA) to the Holo Cyan 2. The burn in time is essential indeed. After 300 hours the sound became just great.
