MAGNA HIFI R2R & SILVER UPGRADE
Magna Hifi, have been working for months on possible improvements for Audio-GD R2R DACs. Because we have gained a lot of experience with the Mano ULTRA streamer and other successful modifications in the digital area. We had certain ideas about how things could be improved and sound better. AND IT DOES!
Audio GD uses a fixed component selection for all components in their systems, similar for both analogue and digital circuits. Most (all?) manufacturers just use what they can buy, Audio-GD however is very strict which is a good method and the only way to deliver a constant and good sound quality.
In past few years we have experienced analogue and digital require different components. The choice of component type in both domains is useful for manufacturing, but analogue and digital requires different methodology and properties of components and cabling, for example. The changes we do are for the digital section only and result in great improvements.
This upgrade has been developed in conjunction with Art Speak who has 30 years of experience in this area –
After the modification the R2R DAC sounds cleaner; and the edges will become softer better and more spacious sound image.

testimonial
In the high there has indeed come more rest and fortunately without loss of detail. In fact, the micro details are now super good and provide a lot of space for information. The fact that the placement has become better is therefore not very strange, the depth and width in the sound image have become greater and therefore more room for a more precise placement.
The entire sound image sounds more natural and has become smoother.“
