First of all, thank you for the speed with which you sent the streamer. The streamer plays beyond expectations and that even with a standard power cord. I had lost hope a bit regarding streaming audio, after I came to the conclusion several times that a my CD transport is much nicer. I am very happy with it, it plays beyond my expectations!

Since everything sounds perfect I just opted to turn off the Holo display because the track info feature on the Holo Audio Spring from my CD Transport is not accurate all the time.

On the positive side, it's a damned good DAC.

Of all the upgrades and tweaks tried on my audio streaming system, connecting my Roon endpoint (SOtM sMS-200ultra NEO) to an external (OCXO) master clock turned out to be the most valuable and rewarding to my ears!
Originally my SOtM came without this option; in the country I am based (Norway) no one offered the upgrade, so after a quick research, Magna HiFi came to my attention as the nearest provider of the upgrade. Contacting them through their online enquiry form was definitely formal, yet brief and straightforward. Shortly after that, a personalized response popped up in my mailbox and the next day I sent my equipment to the provided address in the Netherlands. Couple of days later, I was briefed that the job has been done and that the equipment was on its way back to Norway...
Here, a little saga developed with a shipment carrier (UPS) completely incapable to process and deliver my package for quite a while – during which time it happened that I spoke multiple times with different people from UPS as well as with Jos from Magna Hifi. Jos really engaged himself with the case and although the delivery mess was solely caused by UPS, he eventually retrieved my equipment and re-sent it with another carrier – all on his own expense!
Now, after receiving back my upgraded audio streamer, listening to it for a couple of months, and summarizing the entire process, I can tell that the job has been done expertly and the service I received from Magna Hifi was delivered with lots of attention and personal involvement.

After few days of listening I have to say that I am very satisfied . It sounds very musical and relaxed in a good way with a good soundstage. I tested with my lumin streamer via coax and usb. Both sound really nice.

I did not know that soaking was so important to digital circuits but the facts are here, the way that it is improving every day seems to suggest that it will improve as time passes. Congratulations.

Within 20 seconds of using the Serene I knew I am now hearing what the May DAC is truly capable of, as good as I thought it was already!
Images are tighter in the soundfield and instead of planes of distance, every instrument/voice has its own 3 dimensional space that is much much clearer/cleaner.
ie Decays are also slightly longer and more fine detail is exposed.

I have had the A-GD Master 2A monoblocks for about three years now and all that the producer claims is true. Meaning that the sound is very detailed and rich in microdetails from any source that is put in . I am driving them with the Audio-GD HE1 preamp which is btw also a hi-end preamp. One thing that it only lacks is a phone (cartridge MC/MM) input. I wrote to AUdio_GD and gave a hint that it would be great if they'd design an preamp with such an input politely they wrote back that they would consider it for the future plans and that they are now focused on the digital source than analogue,
Back to the MASTER 2A well I have compared them with a hi-end AMP2 made by Acoustic Arts and they are very close to the sound of that big class A amp by Acoustic Arts but the Master 2A are a bit warmer in sound and that for my subjective hearing is very good. My set-up is as I wrote
Pre-amp : AudioGD HE1
AMPS: Audio GD Master 2A
source : Esoteric DV50 (SACD/CD /Audio DVD/ DVD player
Floorstanders: Project by Troels Graversen DTQWT mkIII ( ~ 6ohms/ 94dB)
nalogue source: THECNICS SP10 with SME 3012 Cartridge KOETSU Black connected to HE1 by a setup trans.
I use the ACSS kable from A-GD to connect withe amps and to me it is a bit better than XLR but far better than single end RCA kables (VDH First).
My speaker cables are VDH Revelation.
Bear in mind that this is all my own subjective hearing but many friends that come over to listen to music (mainly Jazz / Rock/ chillout are just astonished by the sound that the set-up makes.
I also campared the Master 2A amps to a Tube amp single end 845 and although the tube amp is warmer in sound and great but does not have the control of bass that the Master amps have. Bottom line :
Great amps for a reasonable cost
Hi-end sound
Dead silient(no hum)
Look great (but only black color)

Also bear in mind that an amplifier is as good as the rest of components but if you are willing to pay over 5k euros just for amps I am sure that all other gear is as good as well.

I already had good experiences with this brand, especially with R2R DAC's, but I did not expect this upgrade. Really great sound through my headphones. I also use the preamp output. This works best with XLR, with RCA I suffered from slight hum. I am very pleased with my musical friend!
