This unit has fantastic SQ!!! I was a doubter on how a streamer could affect sound. I changed 2 things when I began using this: 1. I2s connection and not using my PC as the front end for music. So, I can’t say which contributed how much, but it doesn’t matter. This item is HUGE!

The gear looks good and after some 40 hours of break-in it sounds already great: tonality well balanced, soundstage expanded (compared to my former setup) every instrument at its proper place, revealing yet natural. Miles Davis' ‚Tutu‘ for example always sounded a bit sharp and harsh; now the SERENE-MAY-combination provides more details in well separated layers but still a homogeneous sound. Comparing some high-res-files with CD-quality differences seem apparent even in non-audiophile recordings like RHCP ,Blood, Sugar, Sex Magic‘. Finally, the dac seems to love the piano and so do my wife and I. Up to now it is a great pleasure and maybe the best is yet to come.

have known Magna since a few years now for an upgrade of Sonos ZP90 which has been absolutely beautiful. The most important thing witn Magna is the availability of free advice from Jos and Rob, even for small customers. I have just bought an upgraded Audio-GD R7 2020 and moving from my old DAC to this one, it is like coming from night to day. This DAC is just new but has already brought a new dimension to my stereo system, deeper stereo stage, more detailed and more natural music. Thanks again to Jos and his excellent advise......

k heb deze DAC een paar dagen op advies van Jos, die als een goed adviseur niet de duurste DAC adviseerde maar een goede DAC voor de prijs.

De DAC moet natuurlijk nog veel meer uren maken, maar ik merk nu al dat in vergelijking met mijn oude set-up dat je de aanslag op akoestische gitaren goed hoort en dat stemmen meer loskomen (je hoort de ademhaling ook goed). Over een tijdje meer.

De DAC is aangesloten op een Roksian K3 amp met daaraan KEF LS50’s luidsprekers. De bron is een door Magna gemodificeerde Sonos ZP90 Ultimo.

Im Vergleich zu Blues-Sound ist die Auflösung im Allgemeinen besser, der Bass klarer und die Position der Soundquellen auf der Bühne viel genauer. Voici mon expérience, ce DAC a nécessité chez moi une période de rodage conséquente. En effet lors des premières écoutes on est sans voix devant les qualités de cet appareil puis au bout de 2 ou 3 jours le son devient crispé, comme saturé. Ayant déjà eu cette expérience sur un R8 j’ai laissé fonctionner le R7 24/24 pendant 2 semaines et je me suis aperçu qu’au bout d’environ 700 heures, soit 400 de plus que celles annoncées par audio gd le son se délivre complètement et devient très naturel, complètement décrispé et simplement magnifique !
Un appareil de très grande classe que je ne suis pas prêt de changer...
Relié en acss avec les câbles mway, on va encore plus loin !

Master-3 is a fine power audio from the high-end category. Don't be fooled by the low price! Something similar from a famous name (with a lot of marketing behind it) costs at least 4 times that price.
The construction and materials are top notch, it couldn't be better. In reality, it looks better than in the photos posted on the internet. And let's not forget, it weighs 40 Kg!
The sound is perfectly neutral. But in a good, positive sense, that is, not neutral-boring, but neutral-very correct. Exactly what audio quality you put on the input is exactly what amplifies. So it depends a lot on the source but also on the preamplifier. It reaches the highest quality on the ACSS inputs.
I amplify the Triangle Genese Lyrr speakers and it control them perfectly. I have tried many other amplifiers so far (even more, more expensive in price than this) but Master-3 it controls them the best and the effect is unitary sound, all speakers sound as if they were one. This is called maximum coherence and this is the best result of maximum control! The merit of the ultimate audio power.
As the frequency band seems to have no limits. I heard extremely low sounds that I didn't know in those recordings and I often have the feeling that some sounds are heard from outside the house, it plays so naturally and spatially!
It is very transparent in sound and lacks specific colors. Not in a sterile way but in a very natural way, including the feeling of natural and real.
It just sounds so good that it doesn't seem to have a certain audio amplifier with a certain color. That is, it does what an amplifier has to do ..... just amplify exactly what it receives without adding or modifying anything.
The working temperature is not exaggerated. It is quite warm but not excessive. The sound depends a lot on the quality of the current from the power supply network but also on the quality of the cables.
I am very pleased.
Communication with Jos was exceptional! I was served as a VIP client even though I am far away and I only communicated in writing on the internet.

After ordering, delivery was fast, because it was on stock. My MicroRendo has USB out and I needed a converter, which has data simultaneously available in AES, SPDIF (RCA and optical), I2S (HDMI, RJ45) format. Instead of the included PSU, I powered it with a SBooster 9V lineair power supply and the USB port with a SBooster 5V lineair power supply. I use two DACs simultaneously, a Sabre DAC for the loudspeakers, a NOS DAC for the headphone. This is the best sound, I can get with my DAC's, even Spotify sounds like near_CD quality. This is a DDC and just a link in your whole equipment chain, so the final sound depends on the rest of your installation. But as they say "garbage in, garbage out", the source quality is the start of the chain.
