Integrated amplifier with massive power
Audio-GD presents us once again the quintessence of technology in audio with this Master 10 MK2 amplifier with a more than neat and clean architecture. The famous brand of high fidelity audio offers us here an amplifier in the most accomplished form possible with outstanding performances: it delivers 2x 250W under 8 Ohm or 2x 500W under 4 Ohm. Each product of the brand is scrupulously tested with one of the most powerful systems in the world: the Audio Analysers 2700 Series from Audio Precision.
This Master 10 MK2 is equipped with no less than 4 transformers including 2 R-Core for a total of 1500W, 140.000uF of very high end capacitors, and 24 very high performance ON Semiconductor transistors for the output stage. This amplifier is also designed around a purely symmetrical discrete ACSS circuit, with a separate power supply to avoid any interference or electromagnetic disturbances on the signal. Linear Fidelity & Non Negative Feedback
For this MK2 Edition of its Master 10, Audio-GD has updated its Class A amplifier to offer even better audio measurements. Audio-GD integrates Linear Fidelity technology to the output circuits and Non Negative Feedback to the amplifier in general. This particular design allows to obtain a linear response curve as well as a very low level of distortion, for a sound reproduction of a very great transparency and this whatever the output level and the reproduced frequency.
“Linear Fidelity” Technology (Patent Pending)
The Master 10 output stages are using spectacular technology developed by Audio-GD in-house and is referred as “Linear Fidelity”. (patent pending) The output stages have zero negative feedback, which normally means increased and unwanted distortion. Most power amp designs show increased distortion when the output level increases. The full frequency band’s distortion level increases even more, specially the low and high frequencies. The special Audio-GD “Linear Fidelity” technology can keep the distortion low and steady at all levels. This results in ultra linear performance. The ultra low distortion of this non-negative feedback amplifier is achieved by its ultra linear behavior of the amplifier. This results in a very transparent and analogue sound stage.
ACSS – Current Amplification
Audio-GD has developed an advanced current-driven amplifier technique. Also known as ACSS, Audio-GD Current System Signal. This special technique ensures that the signal travels a much shorter path and that ensures a more transparent, faster and more neutral reproduction. A similar technique is used by, for example, KRELL. The Current Conveyor technology mostly components are the current mirror. The Current Conveyor technology isn’t a new technology, at 1966 , professor K.C. Smith and A.S.Sedra publish the concept “current mode analogue circuits “ .
HIGH PRECISION VOLUME CONTROL
Volume control consist of relay-controlled attenuators. Fully-independent, fully-balanced stereo volume controls. The volume controls feature consist of high-precision 0.05% tolerance film resistors and golden contact relays. Buffered inputs and outputs.There 4 channels volume boards are built in the unit to achieve ultimate balanced volume control. They are controlled by a digital signal controlling the high quality relays switching the precision resistors in analog area.

Quality of volume control is very important in balanced applications . It have to effectuate the four channels to work as synchronous as possible to keep the balanced signal in perfect shape. In traditional volume controls the balanced output will introduce distortion which will negatively influence sound quality and performance and might even get worse than a single ended setup and waste the advantages of balanced designed solution.
