Today I received the device and seriously, my hands are shaking while I am writing this letter to you. I know that you said that the burn-in period is 2-3 weeks but we just couldn't hold trying it with my girlfriend.

I played classical music and brass music mostly for 15 years to the point that I can't listen to classical music anymore but today we picked up some old favourites, set up the device and played them while sitting in the sweet spot. We just kept listening to the music without talking and we both felt that we start to cry if we don't hold it back.

I read a lot about Audio GD in the last few days and I found those bad reviews and measurements that I am sure you also know. I graduated as an electrical engineer and I can read those measurements and I admit I even thought about canceling the order but so good that I did not! Even if the measurements are not good as other devices on the market, it is beyond dispute that the sound is fantastic!

It is already fantastic without burn-in, the sound of the instruments are so real, it is unbelievable! Thanks again for the fantastic device and the discount! You got a fan! If it helps your business, I am more than happy to write a review anywhere and I am going to recommend you to my audio friends!

Immediate impression (even with DAC still cold) is a better resolution more defined bass and structure and "room". Like it, definitely was worth doing it.
I highly recommend the Audio-GD - 2x Accusilicon AS318B Femto Clock Upgrade (90M & 98M) upgrade.

Ik heb hem ontvangen. Hij is in bedrijf en wauw, dat is zeker hoorbaar!!! Het geluid lijkt vooral "schoner" en de "timing" is nog beter! Ontzettend leuk om dit te merken. Heel erg de moeite waard!

After the burn time I am very satisfied with the MagnaHifi equipment. The Mano Ultra player, the HE1 preamplifier and the Master 3 power amplifier are of high quality.
Although my Dac and speakers are lower class, the music is very enjoyable.
The spatial effect is by far the best I've ever heard :-D The sense of presence of musical instruments and singers is unique.
I only wish the HE1 was not so big :)

Hi Rob! R7 arrived and singing. I think it needs a good burn in to settle, but it already sounds better, more easy and organic, less edgy but detailed. Even bass seems to be tighter.

Ik ben een voorstander van mono blokken dus ben rond gaan kijken voor mogelijke kandidaten die met de Ushers mogen spelen. Het zijn geen extreem moeilijke speakers om aan te sturen maar aangezien ik geen buren heb wil ik het volume nog wel eens wat opschroeven wat toch wat eisen stelt aan vermogen en controle. Merken als Levinson en Krell zouden leuke kandidaten zijn maar die stellen budget eisen die niet haalbaar of wenselijk zijn. Klasse D mono blokken zijn vaak wel betaalbaar maar qua muzikaliteit hebben ze mij nog niet kunnen overtuigen.
Als een versterker niet nieuw is dan zijn de eerste euro's er al vanaf gespeeld dus ik ben ook maar eens op de 2ehandsmarkt wat gaan shoppen. Beperkte keuze, vaak nog behoorlijke vraagprijzen en je kent de historie van de apparaten meestal niet dus ook daar vond ik ook niet wat ik zocht.
Als jarenlange gebruiker van diverse Audio-GD DAC's en voorversterkers surfte ik ook naar de Magna Hifi site want ik herinnerde mij dat ook zij mono blokken in hun assortiment hebben, de Master 2H. Op papier blonken deze meesters in ieder geval uit in formaat, gewicht en de hoeveelheid onderdelen in de wat saaie zwarte dozen. Omdat ik al behoorlijk wat rond had gekeken viel de prijs in vergelijking met de bekende(re) merken erg mee en zaten ze binnen mijn budget plannen.
Na wat mailverkeer en telefonisch contact met Jos van Magna Hifi heb ik de knoop doorgehakt en deze zware jongens besteld. Inmiddels zitten de inspeeluren er al op dus wordt het tijd dat ik mijn ervaringen ga delen.
De Master 2H op de Ushers is een zeer geslaagde combi. Vanaf het eerste moment voel je de autoriteit van de versterkers, het heeft kracht en controle. Het inspelen zorgde voor een rustiger hoog met veel finesse en doortekening. Ook bij hogere volumes blijft het netjes en wordt het nergens schreeuwerig of hard.
Het geluidsbeeld is geweldig, het komt mooi los van de speakers en bij goede opnames staat alles los van elkaar in de ruimte. Je beleefd de muziek.
De puntjes op de i waren overigens de ACSS in en uitgang op de voor en eindversterkers. Niets wereldschokkends maar wel een goed te horen verbetering tov de standaard gebalanceerde touwtjes.
Conclusie; ik ben erg tevreden. Onze Chinese vrienden hebben weer een kwalitatief hoogstandje af weten te leveren voor een (kilo)prijs die geen concurrentie kent.
Rest mij alleen nog Jos en Rob te bedanken voor de prima service!

While they are not yet warmed up properly, but the General outlines of their influence .. more precisely, I can feel the minimal distortion of the sound by these wires.

Through my hands and the system passed a lot of branded cables, as well as cables from respected masters, I can say that you managed to do what many did not succeed. You have made a very transparent cable!

I purchased this amp after I have had many other amplifiers. None of the amplifiers could really drive my speakers. Except for this amp. Its rather fantastic! Sound is much crisper and more agile than any other amp I have tried (and some were much more expensive too!!)
The power is insane and sound is unbeatable.
One "downsite" is its heavy!
Next thing is a new dac, the R7 it will be!

Pink Faun IL-1 I2S received today and immediately connected!
For price reasons, the Pink Faun / Audioquest comparison is not the point of what follows at all, as these two cables are not comparable.

From the first notes, the sound rendering of the Pink Faun is already above that of the Audioquest, and the cable has only just been installed!
So I tested it on very complex symphonic music, with a lot of melodic lines, where the Audioquest seemed to lack analysis by a somewhat blurry rendering, as on dynamic flights as well .. Well the Pink Faun s frees from these complex messages with disconcerting, almost insolent ease! the whole message is rendered very faithfully, nothing is missing, a host of details are updated with this cable! It is clear that the Pink Faun really comes to taunt its competitors!

After more than two weeks of burnin I think I can send you my final feedback.

Now after 2 ½ weeks the sound is very detailed at the top end but at the same time very clean and delicate with no sign of harshness. Bass is very controlled and full and the overall tonal presentation is very balanced, natural and musical. Imaging improved only slightly in depth and width compared to the PS Audio Bridge II but voices and instruments are better separated.

Overall a significant improvement and needless to say that you won’t get the Mano back ?.

I use Archphile software which is a very minimalistic distribution and it is configured to make use of core isolation so that the MPD player runs on a dedicated core. YMPD, the web interface of the MPD player, runs on a different core and you can also disable it completely if not used.

I also underclocked the CPU to 400 MHz (constant clock speed) and SDRAM also to 400 MHz slightly lowering the CPU and SDRAM voltage settings. In my system the Mano has nothing to do as the Media Server runs on a different system and the files delivered do not need to be modified in any way before they are send to the DAC by the MPD player.

As already mentioned, a proper burnin is key. There is no point to listen to device before it has approx. 330 hrs on the clock. The sound impression within the burnin time can vary from “OK” to even “very bad” but there is no comparison to fully broken in device.

Thanks for all your help and congratulations to a great product. There a certainly other products in the market that may be better but at a much higher price point. The cost / benefit ratio of the Mano Ultra might indeed be hard to beat. One may argue that is basically a pimped Raspi 2 but a quality PSU and an a dedicated output board reclocking the signals and all of that in a nice casing also has its price point. In addition you can use any Player Software or streaming service you like.

I tested some more DAC's and headphone amps, but in my opinion the R2R11 is the best u can get for the money.

No kidding where is this bass coming from now :) ? Sound stage grew - again, but this time with biggest change. And details, not sharp daggers but sweat floating sparkles... it is such great improvement.
I have added components one by one. Switch is mind blowing change.

I've been listening to Master 3 amplifiers for 3 weeks now and I have to say that this amplifier is fantastic.
His voice is impressive. Crystal clear mid to high tones, bass tight and accurate. Incredibly wide sound, especially after Mano Ultra Streamer delivers Tidal music.
I've never heard my Triangle speakers play music like this before.

My friend has a Luxman l-509x amplifier (8500 Euro), I think Master 3 is definitely comparable to it.
In my opinion, Luxman has a richer bass, maybe more analogue, but Master 3 is just as good in everything else.
Remember that Luxman costs four times as much!

I really like MagnaHifi's product range, Rob and Jos are knowledgeable, helpful professionals.
